I am a certified English teacher and experienced tutor who addresses individual academic needs. For testing, I focus on both content and strategies. Testing strategies are easily learned and empower students to tackle each problem with confidence. My background includes working with a wide range of students, from at-risk K-12 graders to honors middle and high school students. Hobbies

In addition to teaching and tutoring, I am a certified yoga instructor with both 200 and 500 hour certifications. I am a life-long learner and lover of education. Throughout my life, I have studied many subjects (music, dance, anatomy, science), even if it's through the local adult school! For many years, I trained students, parents, and teachers in areas of conflict resolution. The trainings ran from peer mediation for middle-schoolers to a course called, "Peace In the Family" for parents.
