Experience
I am a seasoned educator with a Masters Degree in Education from St. John’s University in New York. Additionally, I am trained in the Teacher's College Reading and Writing Project at Columbia University. I worked for many years in the New York City area before moving to Jacksonville three years ago with my family. Most recently, I have worked as a member of the Learning Specialist Team at St. Mark’s Episcopal Day School and provided tutoring as well as Enrichment to students across many grades. I am also bilingual and can provide services in both Spanish and English. I began my career teaching to the principals of differentiation as a Special Education instructor, and have a strong background in working with both at-risk and gifted students. Some of my experience includes working with exceptional students to improve reading and writing skills through additional instruction that supplements the general curriculum. When not working with elementary aged students, I have tutored high school students with various writing and college essay requirements.
